The last pool match that Pakistan played was the most nail biting thriller of this world cup for sure. The match was swinging the whole time. There was no method involved to pick the winning side that moment.
For Pakistan it was a must win situation. The outcome of that match would have decided the fate of Pakistani team for the rest of the world cup. As for the Pakistani nation well they were getting minor strokes for sure.
As the match progressed South Africans were seen in some dominant position during their bowling and Pakistan’s batting was quite unsatisfactory but in the end they managed to make a somewhat decent score.
In the bowling however Pakistan looked like a different unit all together. The line and length with which they bowled was excellent. They stuck to the plans and eventually bowled South Africa out.
AB De Villiers however remained the key factor throughout the match. His wicket was one of the most crucial moments that eventually changed the whole game. Pakistan had him in the final overs and when he departed the celebrations in the ground, stadium and back in Pakistan were worth seeing.
